1. Communications Recording

All communications with DiagAutoClinic are recorded and retained. This includes WhatsApp messages, voice notes, telephone calls, email correspondence, SMS messages, and in-person conversations. By communicating with DAC, you consent to this recording.

2. What We Collect

We collect identity information (name, ID number), contact details (phone, email, WhatsApp), vehicle data (VIN, module part numbers, diagnostic data), payment records, and all communication records.

3. Module Data

We read, store, and back up original module firmware, calibration data, VIN, immobiliser data, and adaptation values before any work is performed. This data is retained as part of your service history.

4. Why We Process Your Data

We process your data to quote, perform, and document diagnostic and repair services; to verify ownership (required for immobiliser work); to communicate throughout the process; and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share with couriers (for shipping), payment processors (PayFast), and authorities when required by law.

6. Data Retention

Communication records: 3 years. Work history and backups: 5 years. IMMO-off documentation: 7 years as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Contact us via WhatsApp or email. We respond within 30 days as per POPIA.
